Security and safety of our homes and family is one of our major concerns. Undeniably, we put in a lot of efforts to keep the belongings and the residents in the house safe. This is the reason why we look around for smart locks and well secured doors. The concern of security and safety also gives birth to a debate over what sort of doors are best suited for the home and our needs. Now, that we have established the basic difference between an interior flush door and a wooden door, we would move on to more technical differences between these doors, one at a time. Flush Doors are made by using timber frame, covered by plywood or MDF on both sides of door and hollow portion of the door is filled with cardboard. These doors are then finished by veneer on top or teak ply, etc. These doors have less joints with perfect flush. The maintenance of these doors is also easy as they have a smooth surface and can be cleaned with a dry cloth. Further, flush doors manufacturers in India have made it a point to add a few more features that allow easy maintenance. Interior flush doors are wrap resistant, boiling water proof and are also impervious to Borer or termite infestation. Flush doors are less expensive as they use reconstituted wood and wooden fibres. These cannot be split, peeled or rot and does not require periodic maintenance. They are resistant to stains, scratches and crash too. Wooden doors, on the other hand, are totally made from wood. There are various types of doors available, like panelled door, battened door, glazed door, etc. In these doors, panels of wood are joined together as per the design or requirement. These doors can also be designed easily by grooving and chiselling. However, this comes with added responsibility of cleaning as these grooves tend to collect dust. As the base material used is wood, these doors are susceptible to moisture and insect infestation. Wooden doors can be cut and adjusted to any size and minor changes can easily be done at site. Flush doors are manufactured in a plant and hence need the exact dimensions and specifications. Choose flush doors only when you know the exact details of the frame as they can not be tapered to fit the size once they have been produced. Wooden doors can be made to fit the frame as they are just wooden logs and can be modified on site. However, flush doors have a slightly upper hand as they can be designed to suit any set up and have better features to boast off. The article sufficiently discusses the difference between the two doors. Make your choice and pick the right door that fits your requirements.
